I have no idea why I wanted to do this today, but I had been thinking about farmer’s carries for a while, and this popped into my head.

The carry is heavy. I got it unbroken twice, then started breaking it halfway through. I probably could have done it unbroken 1-2 more times, but what was the point? I had a long way to go.

True story: one summer, a monthly challenge at my gym was to farmer’s carry 55# KBs for 10 miles. It eventually got reduced to five miles, but I was determined to get the 10. And I did. It’s 40 400m carries. Only once, toward the end, did I get 400m unbroken.

My knees hurt for a couple months after that. Be careful with heavy carries – do them too much and you can do some damage.
