Halal
This refers to things that are allowed under Islamic law. This is the opposite of haram. I kept getting it confused with haram. I knew that was was good and one was bad, but I didn’t know which was which. I sort of thought they were the same word, just spelled different.
Haram
This is used to describe anything outlawed by the Quran. It’s the opposite of halal. I read a tweet somewhere about woman not being able to ride in cars because the vibrations will cause sexual excitement, and “this is haram.” I kept getting it confused with halal.
