30 Min AMRAP
---
5 Power Cleans (135)
5 Burpees Over the Bar
5 Barbell Rows

Goodness, this was a mess.

The 30-minute AMRAP is where I ended up, not where I started. I started planning to do 20 rounds.

Round 1 took about one minute. I was wiped. I thought, “Well, I’ll aim for a round every 90 seconds, which gets me done in 30 minutes.”

LOL. Nope.

Second round took the 90 seconds. So that’s when I just reverted to a 30 min AMRAP.

I got…12 rounds. Not even kidding.

I was off my game, for whatever reason. Plus, this is a hard workout. All the movements are big movements – lots of muscle recruitment, full body stuff. Even the barbell rows are an arm and back workout, plus glutes and hamstrings from being bent over.

What a disaster. I might do it again, just to see if it gets better. But that was really humbling.

I have know done this workout two more times, and only got 11 each time. I do not know why this workout is such a disaster, but my first experience was not a fluke, it turns out.

This last time, I was on pace for 12 rounds – I got through six in 15:00, but then just fell apart in the back half. The power cleans just slow way down. I was spending 90 seconds just to get five of them.

I have no idea what the problem is with this workout. I hate it.
