CDP Acquisitions

Two CMS/DXP companies acquired customer data platforms in the last month, which might be the next big front in the DXP wars:

• Sitecore acquires Boxever
• Episerver/Optimizely acquires Zaius (disclaimer: I work here)

Incidentally, that first link also mentions Sitecore’s acquisition of Four51, which is an ecommerce company. It’s physically located in the exact same Minneapolis office building as Insite Software (just two floors down, I think), another ecommerce company which Episerver/Optimizely acquired in 2018 and turned into their B2B Commerce Cloud product.

There’s an Anchorman reference in here somewhere…
