Road Verge

This is the area of terrain between a sidewalk and a street.
It’s known by a lot of different names (I had called them “boulevards”), but this is apparently the official term.
Why I Looked It Up
I was looking for a examples of landscaping in this area. I kept searching for “boulevard landscaping,” and could only find examples of the center dividing area on a street.
I realized I must have the wrong name, so I started searching for “the strip of grass between a sidewalk and a street” and eventually found this term.
Searches for “road verge landscaping” were much more productive.
