Today, Griffeth views her family’s peripatetic existence differently. Morales always convinced her that God was telling him to move on, but now she thinks he was running away from other alleged victims.
I was 99% sure of this from context, but wanted to double-check.

Its peripatetic annual meetings and publishing Proceedings soon made it the most distinguished scientific organization.
I assume this means the annual meeting was held in different locations every year.
