Why I Looked It Up

At the end of an infomercial about an investment opportunity in rare coins (or maybe precious metals, I don’t quite remember), there was this disclaimer:

This program is meant to be a numismatic, informational broadcast, not an investment opportunity.

This, of course, was disingenuous. The show was absolutely promoting an investment opportunity, but this was some legalese meant to frame it as a documentary-esque show about rare coins. I suppose this could be used in some legal defense in the chance they were sued over something.
