Extreme Ownership: How U.S. Navy SEALs Lead and Win

Book review by Deane Barker tags: self-help, military

A book about applying military principles to business. It’s not a bad book, but the hook is clearly the Navy SEAL angle.

Every chapter starts with a novel-esque recounting of some warfare scenario in Ramadi, Iraq, then segues into how that applies to business. It’s all very gung ho and ‘MURICA! But, the leadership principles are solid, even if they get a little contrived to fit with the war movie part of it.

If you don’t like the military, this ain’t your book but taken purely on its merits, it’s not bad.
