Beginning Ethereum Smart Contracts Programming: With Examples in Python, Solidity, and JavaScript

On the plus side, this book had a good explanation of blockchain in the beginning. It also explains the basics of Smart Contracts.

But it’s essentially a user manual for a bunch of software tools. A lot of the book is screenshots of UIs. It was hard to “zoom out” and get a longer view of what the point of Smart Contracts was.

There are two examples of Smart Contracts, but they’re both weird and contrived. I would have enjoyed a non-instructional chapter on what they might be used for in the real world.
