Triple Frontier

This is a location in South America where three countries come together – Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay. It’s located at the merging of two major rivers, and all three countries have border towns in the area.

For a variety of reasons, the area has a reputation for lawlessness, which has been glamorized in movies, books, and television.

Why I Looked It Up

There was a Ben Affleck movie in 2019 called Triple Frontier. I had no idea what the title referred to (I didn’t see the movie).

Then, I was watching an episode of Magnum PI (the new version), and they referred to the Triple Frontier as “one of the most dangerous places in the world.” (Magnum eventually went down there and got in all sorts of trouble…)

According to the Wikipedia page, lots of media has used the Triple Frontier as a setting for adventure.
