An acronym for “Not in Employment, Education, or Training.” Essentially, someone who is eligible to be employed, but is not.

Why I Looked It Up

In a Hacker News post from someone asking what to do with their life, they said this:

I’m a 43-years-old single guy, NEET for the past decade.

So, this person has been unemployed since they were 33.
