Definition: forbidden; not allowed

This is used to describe anything outlawed by the Quran. It’s the opposite of halal.

Why I Looked It Up

I read a tweet somewhere about woman not being able to ride in cars because the vibrations will cause sexual excitement, and “this is haram.”

I kept getting it confused with halal.
