Begging the Question

Reasoning in a circle. Using a premise to prove a point, where all or part of the premise is the original question.

Very often confused with “raising the question” or “assuming the question,” which means an argument based on the answer to a prior question that might be under dispute.

Examples

“God exists because the Bible says so, and the Bible was written by God.”
