Empathy

Meg Bear was a VP for Oracle, In this LinkedIn post she makes this point which shows how computers and humans will never be the same:

I have come to the point of view that the additional skill I need to help develop in myself, my teams and my children is empathy.

Empathy has always been an important and useful skill, but in the 21st century of global economies, social media and rapid information sharing, empathy emerges as a level cutter.

Empathy will be the difference between good and great.
