In 2025, Mark Demeny and Deane Barker (that’s me) planned to write a book about “content supply chain” management. We got a few chapters into it, but then we genuinely started to wonder if a traditional book was the right way to communicate a domain of information anymore.
So, we decide to run an experiment. Rather than write the output of our knowledge (the “demand side”), we decided to gather and expose the content and experience that we’ve accumulated (the “supply side”) and let AI generate the output. In no way were we convinced this was “correct,” but we were genuinely curious at what it might generate.
As of this moment, these artfiacts were created by an AI engine from 327,996 words of content contained in 282 documents. We are continuing to load content, so those numbers will change, as will the output.

These artifacts will change over time, so it’s probably not safe to distribute the URLs. After we get all the content loaded, we’ll “baseline” artifacts with actual version numbers, but for now, any content below might be regenerated at any time.
