On the heels of all the newspaper-specific CMSs that have popped up, Google is helping WordPress deliver a publisher-focused distribution called Newspack. It’s gathered $2.4 million in funding from Google and other sources, and it seems to be a very serious attempt to disrupt a market that’s barely gotten started.
