The Third Conversion
A short, excellent book about fundraising for faith-based causes. It presents a new paradigm of fund-raising, more focused on the giver than the gift.
It runs the risk of perhaps being too idealized, and it’s business fiction, which comes with all the risks of being stilted and awkward (it’s guilty in a couple places).
To carry out what this book recommends, you would have to have the support of the organization, because its methodology flies in the face of standard fundraising practices, I think. So, have your Board read it first.
Short read – maybe an hour, tops.
