Channel

A distribution outlet for content; a method in which content is consumed. The web itself is a channel. Facebook is another channel.

If the creation, editing, and management of content is the supply side of content, the channel is the demand side. It's where content is actually received and communicated to humans.

A specific presentation of content is delivered to a channel. Different templates might be applied to content to prepare it for output into different channels.

Systems that can publish content to more than one channel are called "multi-channel" or sometimes "omni-channel."
