Flow: The Psychology of Optimal Experience

Book review by Deane Barker tags: productivity

Not what I expected. I’ve been exposed to the author’s research in business contexts and thought the entire book would be about applicability to business, but it’s not. It’s an almost quasi-religious exploration into happiness in general. The book seems to be more philosophy than science, with surprisingly little attention paid to the business aspects of the subject. If you’ve heard of the author and his work in business contexts, know that you’ll get very little additional value from the book.
