Why Same-Sex Marriage will Eventually be Legalized

What’s important is the graphic, which shows exactly why same-sex marriage will eventually be legal in the United States.  An older generation of voters, who are opposed to same-sex marriage, will inexorably be replaced by a younger generation, who are not opposed to it.

It’s a steady march of numbers across a graph, which is either thrilling or depressing, depending on which side of the issue you stand.

    Fivethirtyeight.com has covered this in some detail. I seem to recall them projecting that, depending on fluctuations, gay marriage should be able to pass in most states within 8-10 years, and nationwide in about 12 years.
